There are many tips and tricks out there to keeping a marriage happy and healthy- communication, making each other laugh every day, not letting the romance die. One simpler idea– a hug. Research shows that ideally you should hug your partner every day, and the hug should last 20 seconds.
While possibly drawn-out, the good news is that it is nearly impossible to hug for an extended period of time and not feel closer. The power of human touch creates a connection and has been proven to release oxytocin, otherwise known as the bonding hormone. Scientists have performed many studies on this happy theory, and suggest, “you need to experience at least eight hugs a day in order to feel happier and more content with life.” So, shall we hug it out?
